LETTER TO THE EDITOR: UNITY OVER HUMAN TRAFFICKING REFRESHING

Congratulations to M.P. Joy Smith on her recent private members Bill C-268, Mandatory minimums for trafficking minors, passing second reading this last Wednesday. This bill, when it passes, will enforce a 5 year minimum sentence to anyone who trafficks a minor in Canada.
As a young College aged Canadian, I would like to say a huge thank-you to the 232 Members of Parliament who physically took a stand in The House of Commons to support this amazing bill. I would also like to comment on how refreshing it was to see the 3 major parties working together in unity on this issue. Keep it coming guys! Youíre doing awesome!
