RAMP UP FUNDING

Children in foster care deserve the best. Much of the time these kids have come from negative or harmful circumstances which can have long-term effects on them. If foster parents aren't funded properly, how can we expect them to rise to the occasion of caring for these individuals? With the emphasis we've seen on gangs and youth-related violence, maybe our government might consider greater financial aid to these programs. I believe with greater funding could come a stricter screening of foster parents (that alone could save us many more horror stories) as well as relief to those who faithfully give back to their communities in such a way.
